General information

Description: Pennick, N. C. & Clarke, K. J. (1972): Paraphysomonas butcheri sp. nov. a marine, colourless scale-bearing member of the Chrysophyceae. – Br. Phycol. J. 7: 45-48. 

Autecology: acidophilic to pH indifferent, temperature tolerant. 

Distribution: cosmopolitan, widely distributed.
